We offer a range of vaccinations to suit your needs, with consulting rooms in both Hampshire and Sussex along with flexible appointment times we make it as simple as possible to get vaccinated and to protect your health.
Vaccines offer protection from a range of diseases by introducing a tiny amount of the virus or bacteria with its pathogenicity (its ability to make you ill) removed but its immunogenicity (its ability to induce an immune response) intact. This enables your body to create antibodies to protect you should you come into contact with the virus or bacteria again.
Our most popular vaccines are:
This vaccination helps protect against pneumococcus, a common cause of pneumonia and meningitis.
Influenza, commonly known as flu, is an acute viral and highly contagious respiratory infection. The NHS provides the vaccine to groups who are particularly at risk, such as the elderly and those who suffer with asthma. Some employers will offer the vaccine to their staff to keep them healthy over the winter period. Please contact us for more information on workplace vaccinations.
This vaccine is available to anyone aged 3 years+.
HPV is very common and almost everyone will contract it at some point in their lives. The virus can be passed on through sexual contact not just sexual intercourse.
We believe it is crucial that both girls and boys are offered the chance to be tested and vaccinated against this virus which can lead to cervical and other cancers. The NHS are currently rolling out a vaccination programme but funding only allows them to vaccinate girls currently aged 14. Please click here for more information about GARDASIL. HPV Vaccination
We offer children from the age of 9 upwards the vaccination to prevent them catching HPV and genital warts in later life.
Varicella, better known as chicken pox, is a viral disease caused by the varicella-zoster virus. Chicken pox can be very uncomfortable and can in rare cases cause serious complications in newborn babies, toddlers, children and adults who have not been vaccinated, nor contracted the disease as a child. We offer a Chicken Pox vaccination, as this is not currently available through the NHS.
The Chicken Pox vaccination can be given to anyone aged 1 and over, although it is not advised in pregnancy or 3 months prior to becoming pregnant.
We have taken the decision not to offer single vaccinations to mump, measles and rubella, as we believe that only the combined MMR offers the safest and best protection against these diseases. We only offer private combined MMR vaccinations.
We offer these to both individuals who may require vaccination prior to travel, aswell as to employees who require hepatitis protection as part of their occupation.
